Hi friends,
Radiant Ventures returns to @radioxfrankfurt with a night centered around community, shared energy and diverse musical storytelling.

First up is Eddy, better known as Garcia, a Colombian DJ and emerging producer with Caribbean roots. His sound blends minimal grooves with subtle percussive rhythms, warm, organic and deeply inspired by his background. Through his project einsfünfzig, he creates dance driven connections between art, music and community.

Joining him is Cool T, club operator, promoter, connector, house connoisseur and longtime friend. More than just a DJ, he moves as a familiar face within Frankfurt’s nightlife ecosystem, bringing people, spaces and sounds together.

Completing the night with Frankfurt based DJ and producer Dawit Asfaha, who is part of the Linie 36 collective. Known for textured grooves, focused percussion and atmospheric selections, his sound moves between deep rhythm and immersive storytelling.

Am 30.05.2026 ist es mal wieder soweit. Eine der rar gewordenen MUSIK FOR FILMS Sendungen findet statt. Warum? Weil es im Mai einen 5. Samstag gibt.
Von 21 - 23 Uhr öffnen wir für euch die Giftschränke der Filmgeschichte und Seriengegenwart und verabreichen großzügig musikalisches Antitoxin.

radio x liest ein Buch

Lesung und Musik im Radio
radio x nimmt die Hörer*innen mit auf eine besondere literarische Reise: Verschiedene Sendungsmacher*innen wie Tomas Fey, Annegret Freitag, Kirsi Hechler, Cornelia Heier, Eick Hoemann, Thomas Knecht, Verena Kuni, Jens Maurer, Jörg Ritter, Dagmar Stenzel oder Nadine Zeidler lesen kurze Ausschnitte aus “Gott und die Welt. Aufzeichnungen aus der Wiesenau” von Marie Luise Kaschnitz. Zwischen den Passagen verbinden Musik- und Soundcollagen die Texte zu einem vielstimmigen, lebendigen Hörerlebnis. So wird Literatur hörbar – auf eine Art, die nur radio x möglich macht.

Die Sendung ist Teil des Lesefestivals “Frankfurt liest ein Buch 2026”, das zwischen dem 20. April und 3. Mai über 100 Veranstaltungen rund um Kaschnitz’ autofiktionale Prosa präsentiert. Die Themen variieren von Wohnungsnot und Häuserkampf über die Frankfurter Literaturszene Nachkriegsdeutschlands, in der Marie Luise Kaschnitz prägend gewirkt hat, bis hin zu persönlichen Erinnerungen von Zeitzeug*innen. Die Bandbreite an Veranstalter:innen, Spielorten, Mitwirkenden und Formaten ist auch im 17. Jahr des Festivals wieder sehr groß. Die Angebote reichen von der Buchvorstellung im Seniorentreff bis zur Rezeption von Briefen an Siegfried Unseld aus dem Literaturarchiv der Universität, von der Gartenlesung am Günthersburgpark bis zum Kaschnitz-Abend in den Kammerspielen des Schauspiel Frankfurt. Das Programm ist inklusiv, generationenübergreifend und bietet viel Raum, um miteinander ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Diese DISCOKRACH Sendung ist das Warmup für eine lange Nacht die wir heute Frankie Patella widmen möchten. Aus einem unfassbar traurigen Grund. Er ist leider nicht mehr da… sehr plötzlich und unerwartet, wie es immer heißt. Das gesammte Wildpop Sound System und Freunde werden heute an ihn erinnern, trauern und wahrscheinlich auch viel reden, lachen, rauchen, trinken, denn das wäre in seinem Sinn gewesen. Es wird Musik aus seinem riesigen Repertoire geben und Musik, die er geliebt hat. House und Techno mit Stil und Spaß.
Danach geht es in der xfade DJ Night noch weiter.
