this is me asking you directly.
Be in the room.

This one feels different.
Not just because it’s 10 years…
but because of everything it took to get here.
The rooms I stayed in.
The moments I questioned.
The people who believed anyway.
If you’ve been part of this journey in any way…
I would love to see you in the room.
So ... be in the room

You don’t usually get to see speakers like this.
On April 30, ten experienced speakers take the stage at Breaking Through Live, each delivering a tight 15-minute keynote in front of a live audience.
I’ll be speaking on No More Patch Jobs: Stop Repairing Culture. Start Designing It and sharing how to stop reacting to culture problems and start designing them differently from the start.
The format is what makes it interesting. Back-to-back talks. No filler.
It moves fast. You see what connects. A few moments stick with you.
It’s a great event, and if you’re an event professional, there’s more:You can attend as a guest, and you’ll be eligible for a keynote giveaway valued up to $25,000.

We’ve spent years teaching people what bias is.But that’s not the question anymore.
The real question is this: What do you do when something actually happens?
Because that’s where culture is revealed. Not in the training. In the response. In what gets addressed. What gets avoided. What gets repaired. That’s where trust is built… or lost.
I’m hosting a conversation on what comes next:
Beyond Bias Training: The New Rules of Trust, Transparency, and Accountability

Message me or comment TRUST and I’ll send you the link.

Let me say this plainly.
Bias training isn’t the problem.
Stopping there is.
Most organizations didn’t fail because they didn’t know better.
They failed because they didn’t lead differently when it mattered.
And people can feel that.
They feel it in what doesn’t get addressed and in what isn’t repaired. They feel it In the gap between what’s said and what’s actually done. That’s where trust breaks.
We’re in a different moment now. People aren’t looking for perfect leaders. They’re looking for credible ones who act and own their leadership. They looking forleaders who don’t avoid the hard moments. That’s the shift.
I’m digging into this in my upcoming session,

I have been thinking a lot lately about the work people do that never makes it into a job description.
The work of reading the room, deciding when to speak and when to stay quiet, softening your voice so you are not misunderstood, or carrying tension and still delivering excellence.
Some people do that every single day. And it takes something from them: Energy.Creativity.
Joy.
We often talk about burnout as if it is only about workload. Sometimes it is about vigilance.
On February 25 at 11:30 AM CDT, I am hosting a live webinar called, Invisible Labor, Real Impact.
We are going to have an honest conversation about workplace emotional load, what it costs, and what leaders can do differently.
If you have felt this, you are not alone. If you lead people, this is your invitation to pay attention.
Registration link is in the comments.

Leadership rarely shifts in crowded rooms.
It shifts in spaces designed for honesty, reflection, and real conversation.
The Shift Leadership Experience was created for leaders who are ready to pause long enough to ask better questions, listen more deeply, and lead with intention instead of urgency.
This is not about learning more frameworks.
It’s about creating the conditions for clarity.

You’re not tired because you’re doing it wrong.
You’re tired because leadership asks you to carry things most people never see.
The emotional labor.
The constant regulation.
The responsibility of being steady when everything around you feels unsteady.
Most leadership spaces don’t talk about this part.
They train skills.
They reward performance.
They celebrate resilience without asking what it costs.
But something has to change.
This season, I’m naming the parts of leadership we were never trained for.
Not to complain.
Not to fix.

But to tell the truth.
Because when leaders feel seen, something begins to shift.

As you enter 2026, keep this in mind:
Inclusion is a promise we keep or break one decision at a time.
May the coming year reflect courage, clarity, and cultures built with belonging at the center.
Thank you for journeying with me.
#thepeopleculturearchitect #PPLCO #inclusiveleadership

As you begin 2026, pause, reflect, and name one place where you’ve grown as a leader during 2025.
Then name one place where you need to grow next.
Belonging begins with self-honesty.
Carry that into the new year.
#thepeopleculturearchitect #PPLCO #inclusiveleadership

As you plan for 2026, consider this question from my newsletter:
What would your culture look like if your values were lived, not laminated?
The answer to that question is the difference between patching and rebuilding.
#thepeopleculturearchitect #PPLCO #inclusiveleadership

As we enter the final days of the year, I want to offer this:
Belonging isn’t built by accident. It’s engineered through choices.
My book, No More Patch Jobs, explores how to design that kind of culture at every level of leadership.
If your 2026 plans include rebuilding trust, repairing culture, or deepening connection, now is the time to begin.
