may 15th is my dad’s birthday. he passed away on may 13th. 13 years ago. two days before his 40th birthday. kinda crazy to think that you can lose your life right before you’d celebrate having it.
i’m sharing this clip from a road trip to colorado i had with my dad, grandpa and siblings to not only honor my dad on his birthday, but to honor him by living out a dream he had. i have successfully cultivated a life making entertainment my job, and i look forward to living the dreams he had as a musician.
you might not read all of this but my dropping of a song tonight doesn’t just mark another chapter for me, it marks the start of a new life. i’m headed towards where i always knew i was headed, where he always wanted to be, and tonight is just another step forward.
