Earlier this week, I had the total privilege of getting up to sing at live band karaoke with the Inbetweeners Cover Band 🤘 🎤

I chose my favorite car jam from the early aughts, Breathe/2am. (Anybody else remember that one?)

I had an absolute blast (I swear, until you have performed with a drum coming to life behind you, you have not lived) - but my biggest takeaway was the JOY.

Everyone was there to sing. The audience was singing along with every song. Everyone was there to support each other. The band is incredible and could not be more kind and supportive. The vibes in the room were unmatched.

Off Cabot is such a special place. Karaoke/open mic nights provide a messy, joyful space to make mistakes, have fun, and do what you love.

I am so privileged to be the host of the Vibrato Bar with @north_shore_voices at @offcabot, which brings the same energy to classical music.

if you’ve been feeling a bit down, perhaps overwhelmed by the totality of all of the life things that are life-ing right now, I can’t encourage you enough to check out one of the open mic nights at Off Cabot.
