I am really proud to present my second book [ikigai].
This Japanese term translates as “…that which makes life worth living.”

The collection of imagery contains my Fine Art and Streetphotography work mainly from 2023-2025.

– hardcover with white cloth
– handbound
– embossing with blackfoil lamination on front and spine
– printed outsides/color edges
– minimum edge protrusion
– 168 pages
– 24×30 cm (9,45’x11,81′)
– 170 gsm finest silk paper
– limited to 1000 ex.
– signed and numbered

The book contains two forewords written by @thomas.leuthard.official Thomas Leuthard and @siegfried_hansen Siegfried Hansen.
Both are unrivalled icons of german street photography who have had a huge influence on my style.

“ikigai” follows on from my first book “akribie” – both are designed as visual counterparts. Like negative and print, they are intended to complement each other as part of my photographic journey.

In addition, a strictly limited COLLECTOR’S Box (100 ex.) is available, which has space for both books.

With love. Nina.

Hier kommt voller Stolz [ikigai], mein zweites Fotobuch.

Nina.

Photographer of the Week - @ninapapiorek

Nina Papiorek’s visual language is characterized by a distinctive aesthetic.
In her black-and-white compositions, she prefers to capture the interplay between lines, architectural forms, and the presence of people.
Her photographs combine elements of street photography, urban landscape, and fine art photography.

Guided by her minimalist approach that runs like a common thread through her work, the connection between people and their urban surroundings becomes the focus of her photographic narratives.

Nina is a professional street photographer who has received numerous prestigious international photography awards, including the IPA International Photo Awards and the Fine Art Photography Awards.
Her work has been exhibited and published worldwide. In addition to commissioned projects for international clients, she has contributed to several book projects and conducts photography workshops. She is also a sought-after juror for various international competitions.

Based in Germany, Nina has been pursuing her photographic passion for over 20 years and is the author of two acclaimed photography books.

Since 2026 she is an Official X-Photographer / Ambassador for FUJIFILM.

https://ninapapiorek.com

I primarily use the GFX system, even though this might sound rather unusual or even overkill in the realm of street photography.
I'm a big fan of printed images, both as large wall art and in books or similar media, and therefore place great importance on my output. It doesn't bother me that my system might be a bit larger and heavier than others; I love it and it completely meets my needs.
GFX 100sII
FUJIFILM GF20-35mmF4 R WR
Fujifilm GF32-64mm F4 R LM WR
Fujifilm GF100-200mm F5.6 LM OIS WR
My preferred X-series cameras are the xpro3 and the X-H2.

"My all time favorite photographer is Fan Ho, a Chinese street photographer who captured the life on the streets of Hong Kong mainly in the 60s-80s.His style has always captivated me, and certain influences on my photography cannot be denied."
