Chun premiere Éireannach de Útóipe Cheilteach ag Féile Scannán Chorcaí a cheiliúir, tugann DOSE blaisín den ré nua de cultúir, teanga agus ceol na hÉireann a bhfuil sú isteach in aigne na tíre. Uainn scannáin go dtín stáitse, bígí linn ar aistear ghleomhar tríncht cheilteach nua seo. Rac-Snag-Trad-Múisc ó Trá Pháidín, tionscal-gleo le Rising Damp, chóirdín-cinseal agus aistear timpeall na cruinne le Little O. Íomha beo le Risteárd Ó hAodha agus Joseph O’Neill.

Tá an scannán Útoipe Cheilteach mar chreat de traidisiún ceol bríomhar na hÉireann san ám i láthair, ‘s é dul i ngleic lenar stair coilíneach agus aisling den cosán amach uainn. Beidh an scannán le feiceál roimh an ghig, tosnú ag 5in san Everyman, le C&F ina dhaidh.

DOSE x Celtic Utopia

If you’ve been paying attention you already know all about it, but in true DOSE fashion we still wanted to bring you a pretty poster in the final run up. To celebrate the Irish premiere of Celtic Utopia at the Cork International Film Festival, DOSE presents a taste of the music giving a new identity to Irish culture, language and music. Bringing the film to the stage, join us to explore the sounds of the new Celtic realm. Post-rock-jazz-trad mutations from Trá Pháidín, industrial noise from Rising Damp, experimental accordion from Seamas Hyland and globehopping club music from Little O. Live visuals by Risteárd Ó hAodha and Joseph O’Neill.

The film Celtic Utopia is a portrait of Ireland’s vibrant folk music scene, carrying both the legacy of a colonial past and the dream of a bright future. You can catch the film before the gig, screening at 5pm in the Everyman, followed by a Q&A.
