Welcome to the Take Me Somewhere team; Alex Misick!
As our new Event Producer, Alex will support delivery of the upcoming Take Me Somewhere Festival in October 2025, leading on multiple international projects throughout the city. We’re excited to have him as part of the team!
****
Alex is a multidisciplinary producer for performance, visual art, residencies and other cross arts projects who takes an artist-centred approach. After graduating from the Glasgow School of Art’s Environmental Art course, he worked in the programme team of the Centre for Contemporary Art Glasgow for over 8 years as both Programme Coordinator and Projects Producer across events, exhibitions and in developing a new online space; CCA Annex.
Alongside Take Me Somewhere, he currently works on a variety of freelance arts and active travel projects.

My last day @cca_glasgow is next Thurs 28th Nov. Just before CCA closes its doors for 4 months. Bittersweet, as redundancy is not the circumstance anyone hopes for. A sad moment for Glasgow and the wider Scottish arts. @scotgov @creativescots here’s what continual underfunding looks like..
Please offer your support to the very committed and talented staff staying on at CCA. Be patient during this period, CCA will re-open, I am sure of that!
I feel so lucky and privileged to have worked and grown over the last 10 years surrounded by exceptional people. So many to mention it would pages and pages long.. though a particular shout to colleagues I worked most closely with @sebbijh @ainslierod @viviana_checchia @annieha_ @fm9er @perennial_evergreen Remco @ten_a_penny @quitesqualid @joewaugh17 @ailsanazir Kerri
I plan to work as a freelance producer for the time being. Feel free to get in touch.
