This is our first poster for “Maverick: The Epic Adventures of David Lean” — premiering at @festivaldecannes — and I’m still not sure I’ve fully taken it in.
To spend this time deep inside one of my cinematic heroes, to dig deep into what made Lean Lean — the obsession, the conviction that a story told on a massive scale, in a packed theatre, is one of the most profound things a human being can experience. That belief feels more urgent now than ever.
Barnaby, Nick, the @embankmentfilms team, and my colleagues at @assemblemedia, @frankpublicity and @erickohn — so proud of what we’ve built together.
And alongside Maverick, @assemblemedia is proud to have been part of @irasachsfilm gorgeous, soulful “The Man I Love” in competition at Cannes. I always said I’d never go unless I was part of a film in the festival. Going for the first time with two is surreal.

Thrilled that “The Man I Love” is headed to Cannes. Huge congratulations to @irasachsfilm , Scott McGehee, David Siegel, Mike Spreter, and Myriam Schroeter, along with the incredible cast and crew, and all who brought this film to life.

This is a beautiful and powerful work of art, with extraordinary performances from Rami Malek, Rebecca Hall, Eben Moss-Bachrach, Tom Sturridge, and Luther Ford (among so many others)
