Hype man kept passing me the mic for ad libs and good bros handing me what I know was the last remaining delicious but warm beers, we got there so late.Right next to the new pagoda in the village, I guess the monks were able to sleep thru everything and up early for the blessings on Khmer New Year. Bringing food and water and respect for the monks is another part of Khmer New Years celebrations.

Peace and love every one! We made it home, but I want to share::: Rural life in Cambodia is beautiful because there is so much love in the family, and when everyone is healthy and has land to work and direct the days efforts, we are connected to each other and the soil. It changed my perspective on what poverty is, us city kids have some things to unlearn.
Oh and on that conflict with the Thai gov’t : there are surely some political mysteries above your or my pay grade to understand, but the bottom line is that many poor Cambodians have had their houses and land stolen as Thailand redraws the border, and one ancient temple Preah Vehea was bombed, all with weapons purchased from the USA (sounds familiar, eh)
