We kicked off with all the buzz still swirling from MFF, with a debrief and hot takes from those showcased on the runway@gwendolynneburkin , @juliegoodwincouture

Snaplets from MFF's most unmissable runway. "Fuck The Invisible" swings fashion back to proper, stylish women - the designers, consumers, demi-legends and celebrities - who seeded and have rocketfuelled the whole Melbournesque fashion thang since the 70s, 80s and 90s to now. From poils, pleats and softelegant tailoring to snakey-sleek lame evening gowns to flashing palette and shimmershimmer cut-glass fringed dresses, separates and full-foofed silksatin gowns so fetchingly clamped, waist to decollete, with excellent corsetry, this runway returns fashion to its original remits of beauty, flattery and a side of spiceysubtle sex. Joyous doesn't cover the arrival of surfing legend Lane Beachley in Lisa Barron barely-there evening set and Nicky Buckley, another fashion legend, who colluded with Lisa way back in the mists on a certain black dress with heart-shaped belly cutout. Hard to imagine now, but that dress normalised pregnant bellies on telly and now we have - Rhiannon et.cet.era. Look them up If you're not familiar And click back to voxfrock.com.au for a fulsome report on the FTIRunway by our VoxFrock Rookie crew #melbournestyle #voxfrockrookies #melbourne #melbfashionfestival #FTIrunway

Up now on voxfrock.com.au, VoxFrocker Ru Elliott wraps Melbourne's warring fashion concepts, epitomised in the MFF's back-to-back runways, Joywear, “A bold celebration of colour, self-expression, maximalism and the mood-lifting power of fashion” and Noir, “Rooted in the city’s fashion psyche, where black is more than a colour, it’s a cultural signature”. What's YOUR fashion poison? Color crash or ubercool black? VoxFrocker Theadora Violet's shots make it tricky to choose. Click back for the VoxFrock Rookie Crew's daily reports from the 30th Melbourne Fashion Festival. And thankyou for supporting fashion's future uber-professional journalists and photographers. We love that you love our work🫶🖋️🎤💻🎬📸🖤#melbournefashion #voxfrockrookie #futurefashion #fashionjournalist #fashionphotographer

From Dream to Delivery 🤍
No gatekeeping, just generous knowledge and real talk.
So much experience, curiosity, and openness in the room. Thank you to everyone who shared what they know and how they know it.
And the Q and A brought the goods, great questions, honest answers, and a few spicy moments in the best way.

What’s one takeaway you’re keeping? 👇

A hardfast 90-odd secs of roughcut vidi-scraps from MFF 2026's launch party at Gov House. Stonkingly lovely ballroom, sprouty fountain, emerald terrace lawn, the handsdown fanciest of backdrops for any serious fashionkneezup. Such much as this. The Melbourne Fashion Festival's trad kickoff party was spesh on steroids - 30 frocking years yay - the anniversary marked by a heavier than average peppering of local legends on the lawn and one of those magical fashionable bluesky nights cut by pleasant breezes and bouts of warm sunshine. #Justbloodylovely #melbourne #fashion #melbournestyle #mff2026
