For today’s #fossilfriday since I’ve seen some confusion regarding the size of the skull of #Spinosaurus mirabilis and #Suchomimus here I show both the reconstructed skull of the holotype of S. mirabilis and a composite skull of S. tenerensis including several specimens scaled to the largest skull size known (that published in Sereno et al 1998).
The human skull by the way is my own, taken from a CT scan I got last year.

Finally was able to finish our #spinosaurusmirabilis

I have no words for how awesome this skull came out. Dinosaurs class students are going to have a blast looking at this in Lab. Thanks to the work by scientists like @doritodon we can bring these prehistoric animals to the classroom!

Found this beautiful male goat skull (skeleton was close by scavenged and disarticulated). The keratin sheaths are heavier than they look, and much taller than the bony core.
