Our debut album Micrographia is out next Friday (21st) and I can barely put into words what that means! We’ve been making music together since 2019 and this is the culmination of our friendship and how special it is. It’s obviously an album about grief but it’s about love too - and it wouldn’t exist without my gorgeous bugs. So so grateful to so many people:

@state51 for putting it into the world
@hannah_woollam for the truly breathtaking design (it’s a SCULPTURE)
@bluemoon.press for PR
@helpmusicians for funding
@trustartistsagency for booking the release tour (so excited)
@joelanthonypatchett for production and sweetness and constant support
@katietavini for mastering
@bam.bam.studios @harry.j.jordan for the beautiful studio + helping hands
@anna.patterson + @lilihollandfricke for the loveliest strings in the universe

(Probably people I’ve forgotten SORRY)

But most importantly, my incredibly talented band - @georgeortonn, @sloydflenching, @adambentham, @_alexsksk. You’re the best people I know.

From the moment I asked Alex to play synth with me, this project has grown and grown from me writing in my bedroom to playing with my best friends in the world! Releasing an ALBUM and an EP and going on tour and working with artists we love! The amount of opportunities we’ve had just mean so much to me. Thank you to everyone for believing in us.

Listen to Micrographia next week! I love you!

Overjoyed and a little nervous to announce, with the birth of our new single, that our DEBUT ALBUM is coming out in November via @state51 ! It’s called Micrographia - and wouldn’t exist without you. I can’t describe how special it is, and how excited I am for the world to hear more. Thank you thank you thank you!

Warp & Weft II is just a small and lovely taste of it. You can hear all of us singing! How nice is that!

Extra thanks go to our dear dear producer @joelanthonypatchett - for pushing us to make it the best we can.
To @katietavini for the perfect masters (wowee).
To @state51 for giving it to the world.
To @helpmusicians for the (extremely welcome) financial support. Topped up by your generous donations - still reeling from that.
To @bluemoon.press for the lovely writing and sending it to all the inboxes.
To the exceptional @hannah_woollam for the art, forever.
To my darling bugs, always.
To my mum for giving me something to write about.

Crying now cheers

We're delighted to announce our stage at The Great Escape festival! We've always wanted to do this, so it's a real honour to be asked this year.

We'll be taking over the stage at @waterbearvenue from 12pm to 4pm with wonderful sets from artists we love, including @uglyozo, @theslowcountryband, @bugteethuk and @hankbandhank.

Come down, say hello and grab an Indie Scene badge from us!

Let us know who you're most excited to see in the comments ⤵

🎟 Access to these shows is available via a TGE Festival wristband and is subject to the venue's capacity. Please see The Great Escape's website for more information.

we did it (´・ω・`) !! thank you everyone who’s supported this project and bought a record so far we appreciate it massively <3
no one has really asked me what the artwork is yet so I guess I’m gunna have to tell yous! swipe along to see some of the main sources I studied….
I’m calling this piece and the other sculpture artworks I’ve made ‘contemporary tomb sculptures’?? (pls someone come up with a better name)
I began the micrographia artwork project whilst working part time for cancer research @cr_uk in scotland. Taking research trips to study cell-like beings-rockpools…jellyfish, moss, rock carvings, stone circles and read up on Neolithic death rituals. This artwork as always , is dedicated to @bugteethuk ‘s brilliant mum Pennie Johnson and is informed by PJs experience of sudden loss and processing grief.
