We searched Greater Los Angeles high and low for the perfect star tomato. You’d think Mary Vernieu herself had been brought in to cast it. 🍅 🎬

Huge thanks to @superconductor.tv and @pf100usa for bringing us on to help realize this perfectly messy vision for @rottentomatoes . Directed and shot by the incomparable @steven_moses , this one was all about embracing the chaos—with a fearless crew, gallons of tomato guts, and some seriously nerdy rigs.

When our friends at Cornett asked us to bottle that briny-bright bite in a single scroll-stopping social ad, we dove straight into the pickle jar. Our recipe:

✅ Photoreal 3D product for mouth-watering realism

✅ Hand-drawn cel butterflies to flutter in the freshness

✅ Bubble typography that sparkles with sweet-n-salty sass

✅ …and a larger-than-life, cel-animated magical pickle bursting with personality

The result? A snack-sized mixed-media daydream designed to make viewers pause, grin, and reach for a cup (or two). Huge cheers to the stellar creatives at Cornett and our own animators, modelers, and resident pickle enthusiasts for stirring up the fun.

We don’t hide the mess, we share the process…

Continuing our 3D liquid pipeline tests, combining micro fluid interactions with dynamic ice in SideFX Software (Houdini) to push CGI liquid pours closer to the real thing.
Every pour. Every splash. Every ice cube shift.

We’re not afraid to test. Not afraid to fail.
That’s how we learn what works and what doesn’t.

The kitchen stays open because we keep experimenting.

We threw our Cup Noodles character back on the cutting board and tested what AI could really do.

Starting from our original hand-drawn sketches, we used an AI mesh conversion to generate a rough 3D model and rapidly explore volumes, proportions, and style frames.

The verdict from the chef?
AI is amazing to prep fast and iterate early.
But if this character ever goes full 3D animation, there’s no shortcut: clean modeling, proper rigging, real production pipeline.

AI helps us taste ideas faster.
Craft is still what makes the dish legit.

Excited to share a quick progress update on our latest CGI liquid pour. We’ve made big strides in our custom fluid pipeline this year and are looking forward to pushing it further in 2026. Next up… getting the bubbles to stop swimming upstream. After the holidays.
