The Dragon Deserter (1/2)

Marcus Ailman, once a prestigious knight of the Dragon Order, is fed up. He wishes for a new life. That was 4 months ago.....

The road has been hard. Almost overnight he has turned into an outcast not just with his past faction, but surrounding factions too. Even smaller villages want nothing to do with him! The choice to leave for what he thought were "righteous" reasons is quickly becoming sour in his mind.

"Is all of this really worth it?" he wonders daily if the choice actually was. Being excommunicated from his own home, and not accepted by neighbors is bad enough. The continuous hunting makes it even worse.

Dragon Knights, Kraken Thugs, and even remote mercenaries and guilds have all partaken in the thrill of the hunt for his head. It really seems like the only friends he can find are maybe a stray owl or slow snail. At least the snail cannot outrun him, and only if he could outrun the mercenaries and hunters.

The constant fight and flight continues to make him weary on this long travel. A travel to an unknown destination.

This vignette is meant to be just a fun smaller scene for me to play with different techniques. Things like the stone wall utilizing boat studs, trees using claws and minifigure hair all made for this to be a fun and simple project.

The dark shots with subtle glows from lanterns and the campfire give the scene a fun ambiance and glow. Each utilizes BrickStuff flicker effect lights that give subtle motion to the build when viewed. The campfire's glow from the lights was an incredibly fun design to play with. And with the help of custom sticks produced by Citizenbrick, a bit more lively detail gets added to the scene.

Pewku, the Ussal Crab

Across the island of Mata Nui, Ussal crabs are known as helpful and highly utilitarian creatures. Incredibly strong and dependable, they are used to haul goods and passengers, especially in the mines of Onu-Wahi and other labor-heavy regions. But their value goes far beyond strength—they form deep bonds with their Matoran riders, sensing their relationships with others and intuitively understanding friend from foe.

One such Ussal crab is Pewku, the loyal and playful companion of Takua, a Ta-Matoran. More than just a mount, Pewku is Takua’s best friend—often acting as his much larger shadow, faithfully following him on countless adventures throughout their time together.

Ussal crabs, despite their gentle nature, are also fierce and brave when called upon. Many serve in the Ussalry, the military branch of the Onu-Matoran, and have stood side by side with their riders in numerous island conflicts.

Pewku, the Ussal Crab

Across the island of Mata Nui, Ussal crabs are known as helpful and highly utilitarian creatures. Incredibly strong and dependable, they are used to haul goods and passengers, especially in the mines of Onu-Wahi and other labor-heavy regions. But their value goes far beyond strength—they form deep bonds with their Matoran riders, sensing their relationships with others and intuitively understanding friend from foe.

One such Ussal crab is Pewku, the loyal and playful companion of Takua, a Ta-Matoran. More than just a mount, Pewku is Takua’s best friend—often acting as his much larger shadow, faithfully following him on countless adventures throughout their time together.

Islanders of Mata Nui

Islanders from all six regions of Mata Nui, most of which were present in the MOC.

Rather than solely changing the colors of each, what would a matoran look like from the jungles of Le-Koro versus the fiery caves of Ta-Koro, or the oceans of Ga-Koro? As in evolution, different creatures evolve with having different physical traits based on the environments they grew up in. The same logic was applied here.

Matoran from the high jungle tops have longer arms for vine swinging through the tree tops. These are much more agile characters, while those from the fiery caves of Ta-Koro are more accustomed to warmer climate. Depicting physical traits solely based on temperature is difficult, yet also being a warrior tribe, their builds were created with more muscular and bulkier arm designs. Those typically found within the icy climates are opposite, being known as the intellectual islanders, so no physical traits were altered seeing as their minds are their greater abilities. Each matoran shares their body design as a base, while those of the floating villages on the waves of Ga-Koro have added fins to their arms. Being a tribe on the water and very accustomed to swimming, this small trait adds to their agility. The Po-Matoran of the deserts in Po-Koro are opposite to this, without being near as agile and were designed with a stockier modification to the original torso design. Paired with a wider stance and lower head position, these rock kickers were one of the smaller individuals on the island. Similar to them, the miners of Onu-Koro are a people of the Earth, spending m uch of their time mining different resources for use on the Island. Within a cyberpunk world, I thought something like would stand out as a classy style reserved for the wealthy elites so utilized to create a sleek, two-seat speeder. Flat silver surfboards (Part ID: 6075) were elements I wanted to have running as doors down the side since they capture that elegant curvature already, and this set the size limitation of the build. With it being something I wanted to keep as thin as possible, side by side seats were eliminated early in my design process.Rounded turquoise elements were then used as the primary color, since I hadsome large 5x5 round corner elements of that shade on hand (Part ID: 24599). Ice skate pieces in flat silver were placed all around the buildfor curving metal fins, and sleek, front grills.

Vuffade Spire

Luxury. Class. Speed. The Vuffade Spire luxury speeder features two comfortable luxury seats, one for you, and one for your driver. This fast, and elegant vehicle is perfect for taking you to those classy business meetings in style, and speeding away after a victorious deal before they know what hit them.

Built for the @newhashimacollab , this build is inspired by classic cars from the mid-twentieth century. At this time vehicles had a very rounded presence with chrome and silver detailing. Within a cyberpunk world, I thought something like would stand out as a classy style reserved for the wealthy elites so utilized to create a sleek, two-seat speeder. Flat silver surfboards (Part ID: 6075) were elements I wanted to have running as doors down the side since they capture that elegant curvature already, and this set the size limitation of the build.
