Two years ago, today, I received my brain cancer diagnosis. It’s impossible to describe how many times life has fallen apart and reformed since then. I’ve realized that letting it fall apart and learning from it, is better than trying to keep it together. I’m still here. Living and being creative, loving and holding my loved ones. I hope everyone who’s gone through anything like this finds a support system that helps them through. The mental health struggles are still rippling through my life and the lives of my loved ones. I wouldn’t have made it to this moment if it weren’t for my doctors, family, fellow survivors, care takers, an amazing community of friends, and LOTS of therapy.
