Rituals—A ceremony we keep performing but who’s watching?….

*With this body of work, I sought to explore “Rituals” from the perspective of a general human life cycle and the identities we take away from practicing them.
From the spiritual inception of man’s existence, to his final breath, there’s some reoccurring patterns amongst us all. In trying to understand why we enter these different phases, I discovered the magic word (Liminality) a space between two states of being, where anything is possible. Amen.

With this in mind, I approached the design of each look as a transition between one phase of life, and the next.
Whether it be creating , schooling, working, dreaming, yearning, praying, fighting, loving, reproducing , living or Dying.
It’s all because we have internal timelines, or desires to become more than we already are…..

Rituals—A ceremony we keep performing but who’s watching?….

*With this body of work, I sought to explore “Rituals” from the perspective of a general human life cycle and the identities we take away from practicing them.
From the spiritual inception of man’s existence, to his final breath, there’s some reoccurring patterns amongst us all. In trying to understand why we enter these different phases, I discovered the magic word (Liminality) a space between two states of being, where anything is possible. Amen.

With this in mind, I approached the design of each look as a transition between one phase of life, and the next.
Whether it be creating , schooling, working, dreaming, yearning, praying, fighting, loving, reproducing , living or Dying.
