WNDR is proud to announce our collaboration with @studio__nawa (Alina Nazmeeva and John Wagner), the selected artists for our Artist Showcase program. Blending Alina’s background as a media artist with John’s expertise as an architect, the duo merges digital simulation with material assembly to create immersive spatial experiences.

Coming to WNDR, their installation, A Body of Water, invites visitors to inhabit the layered depths of Lake Michigan, transforming scientific measurements of the lakebed into a dynamic, immersive environment.

As visitors move through the installation — walking between suspended layers, pausing, or sitting within the space — they gradually descend into a volumetric cross-section of the lake.

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with us at WNDR Chicago ✨

This Memorial Day weekend, we’re partnering with local artist Mustafa Mahdi Anwar (@papastafa) for a special live pop-up experience on May 23 & 24 from 11-1pm.

A Chicago-based performer, poet, and community organizer, Mustafa explores the intersection of movement, mindfulness, and ancestral connection. As a queer person of pan-Asian descent, his work invites audiences into a shared experience rooted in presence, reflection, and the magic of community.

This Memorial Day weekend, we’re partnering with local artist Mustafa Mahdi Anwar (@papastafa) for a special live pop-up experience on May 23 & 24 from 11-1pm.

A Chicago-based performer, poet, and community organizer, Mustafa explores the intersection of movement, mindfulness, and ancestral connection. As a queer person of pan-Asian descent, his work invites audiences into a shared experience rooted in presence, reflection, and the magic of community.
