The goal of run club from the start has been to bring together people from around the region to connect and create bonds, and to always welcome in visitors with open arms and friendly smiles. In the quiet months of the year here on the island, run club’s mission is just as important as ever. Friendships form through the miles and are carried forward on and off the trails. Tuesday evenings with our people make us happy.
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate women around the world, including the women of Move Free here on Mount Desert Island, Maine! From the hosts and participants of our women’s running retreats, to our local run club members, to our global community, we are grateful for the many incredible women we know, and for the ways they inspire us all!
@marathonsports_maine will be joining the party Saturday afternoon and setting up shop at the bottom of Cutter Hill to support everyone out segmenting! Will we see you out there? They’ll also be handing out raffle tickets every hour from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and at 4 p.m. several winners will walk (or run) away with some gift cards to their store!
In true Maine fashion, tomorrow will frigid, but the camaraderie of the Portland Burrito League community will warm you right up! Keep calm and segment on! We party till midnight!

24 Hours of Cutter.
The challenge is simple.
How many laps of Portland’s Cutter Hill can you do in 24 hours?
And on the coldest day of 2026 so far?
The champion will earn themselves one uber cozy Sambob hoodie, sewn right here in Portland, Maine!
To participate, join the Portland Burrito League Leaderboard, and complete the official Cutter Hill Strava segment (leaderboard and segment links can be found in bio). Proof of total segments via public Strava activity may be required.
The Portland Burrito League continues through January 31 with additional prizes for the dedicated enthusiasts out there!
