Best gig of 2023! 'LIQUIDVERSE' live showcase at @experiencecosm in Salt Lake City, UT. Composer Ricardo Romaneiro @composernyc and I had the privilege of working with members of the Utah Symphony earlier in the year, creating a shared experience under Cosm's incredible 8k immersive LED dome.

@composernyc, @metroensemble, and I are currently working on LIQUIDVERSE: Macrocosm & Microcosm, an immersive audiovisual experience, which will play at a Cosm's upcoming 12K theaters in Los Angeles and Grandscape Texas in 2024.

Timelapse of a new set up I have going on. Got it down to 1 hour. Condensed here to 35 seconds. Load in at Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia.

I'm working all in 4k here, with 2x live Sony A7III & IV, a loaded beast mode laptop, and two separate DJ road cases. Both have internal leveling boards in the road cases for the liquids. The new gold road case can do both bottom lit live liquids, as well as top lit media like holographic foil and alcohol inks. Oh, and I have a new foldable baking rack for stacking my plates.

"Keep on Truckin" by R. Crumb. This iconic cartoon first appeared in Zap Comix in 1968, and became an prolific counterculture symbol throughout the 1970s. It was endlessly bootlegged, with Crumb winning back his copyright protection in 1977.

The image here is a projection of a 2"
x 2" slide I have of the character, which was part of a massive slide collection I inherited from Bob Lewis, shortly before he passed away.

The slide itself is black and white, was projected through color and ripple wheels, and then filmed in 4K. This clip was then mixed with footage of blue lasers seen here, and projected onto the dome of the planetarium at Liberty Science Center. You can see @strangersstoppingstrangersband in the bottom left.

Planetarium selfies... The dome of @libertysciencecenter's Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium is 89 feet in diameter and 60feet from floor to ceiling. It offers 12,345 square feet of projection surface. It is one of largest dome theaters in North America and the largest planetarium on the continent.

My friends @strangersstoppingstrangersband are at the bottom there. I took these before our Friday show.
