Three years of conflict in Sudan has impacted people across the country, with millions forced to flee their homes and living without the basics they need to survive.
Despite the extremely challenging conditions they face, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society and our wider Red Cross Red Crescent Movement are here for people every single day.
While the facts of the situation in Sudan are hard to face, our colleagues in Sudan are making a difference. And thanks to donations to our Disaster Fund, we can continue to support them for as long as they’re needed.

With so many emergencies happening around the world, more and more people are being forced to make the heartbreaking decision to leave their homes, and even their loved ones, behind.
This search for safety is part of the human experience, and often means crossing borders to find sanctuary. We celebrate and welcome those who've been on long journeys, and who bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills, enriching our communities. Whoever people are and wherever they come from, they always deserve to be shown humanity.
Remember: we don't know what someone's been through. But welcoming them could be their first step towards healing.
We’re deeply saddened by the recent death of Dr. Somayyeh Mir Abo Eshagh, a volunteer of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, and all humanitarian workers who have lost their lives while supporting their communities.
Red Cross and Red Crescent humanitarian workers respond day and night, wherever they are needed. When they’re harmed or attacked, whole communities feel the impact.
International humanitarian law must be respected so humanitarian workers can carry out their life saving work safely.

Hot weather is on the way ☀️ Are you prepared?
Take a look at our top tips for staying safe in the heat. Don’t forget to save and share with friends and family.

The UK Government has suspended refugee family reunion. For every month that this suspension continues, up to 1,360 children could remain separated from their families. No child should be kept apart from their loved ones, especially when they've already fled unimaginable circumstances.
People we support tell us they cannot begin to rebuild their lives until their children and family members are safely reunited with them. We believe that families belong together, and deserve to feel safe.
We urge the government to reinstate the scheme as soon as possible and make sure any new requirements are fair, achievable and compassionate
Part 3 | “If humanitarian workers aren't protected, then the people who are in need, who are wounded, who are sick, will not be able to receive the help that they require.”
Hear Dana explain the essential work of the Palestine Red Crescent Society and why international humanitarian law must be respected and protected.

“As children, they have a right to enjoy their childhood.”
After Hurricane Melissa, that became harder for many families across Jamaica. Homes were lost, and safe spaces disappeared overnight.
The Jamaica Red Cross psychosocial volunteers like Rosalyn responded by creating child-friendly spaces in shelters and communities, giving children somewhere to play, feel safe and begin to recover.
