Spotify just removed 75 million AI generated tracks from their catalogue in a crack down against AI music.
This is a massive win for musicians and songwriters.
What it shows is that people just don’t care about AI generated music. They want to listen to real music played by real people.
The rush of AI generated music has shown Spotify that it’s actually hurting their listenership as people are switching off and disconnecting from the music. So instead they are making an effort to drive listeners to real artists.
The fear of AI generated music ruining people’s livelihoods is now shown to not be an issue at all.
Here’s to real artists making real music!

Where we started vs where we are now.
What a difference a few years can make!
We started off Tiny Triumph Studios when I knocked down my garage and built a floating floor, room inside a room studio off the front of my house. This became the home of Tiny Triumph Studios for 5 years where worked on some absolutely incredible records with artists like @robruhamusic @msholliesmith @richtercityrebels @this_is_sea_mouse @dr.reknaw @revulvamusic @machomacho @tess__goodwin @casual_healing @goodnight.my.darling @michael_llewellyn_ @juliabellemusic and literally hundreds more!
Fast forward to now and we have moved out of a small room in johnsonville and overlooking Wellington CBD and the harbour with a purpose built vocal booth and tracking room to capture performances from Wellingtons best.
I bloody love this studio!
