We had a very informative chat with our FLOWER DRUM SONG graphic designer/letterer @hannahkleeee as we walked around & identified the various types of
匚卄ㄖ卩 丂ㄩ乇ㄚ 千ㄖ几ㄒ
in the Little Tokyo & Chinatown areas. Learn about the history of this font style, and how it helped inform the direction Hannah went in while designing our logo.

Happy #AANHPIHeritageMonth !!! Here’s a quick history lesson on Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, one of DTLA’s most vibrant cultural hubs. For over 60 years, East West Players has contributed to the city’s ever growing cultural landscape by providing a space that champions Asian/AsianAm stories. Flash forward to today, we are continuing to do exactly that! Not only is it an honor to be Asian, but it is an honor to share community & culture with all of our neighbors. To all our EWP & Little Tokyo fam, we hope to provide even more cultural enrichment for and by our community for years to come… and we hope to catch all of you at the Aratani Theatre for our latest show!
