Imagine getting a video call five years after creating wedding cake for one of your favorite couples and seeing baby Moana’s twin sitting on her daddy’s lap!

Well…..this is what happened to me around six weeks ago!

Creating this 1st birthday cake for L & B’s sweet baby girl was truly an honor and when I got to see her in person!?!? OMG! Disney owes THEM money for using her image in the film! Okay, can we just take a second to talk about the “wow” factor? While I love a classic tiered beauty, there is something so incredibly fun about a cake that doesn’t actually look like a cake!

I’ve been looking back at some of my favorite sculpted creations, and the variety still makes me smile. We’re talking everything from a 3D Big Bird (who was almost too cute to eat!) to a super detailed tribute for a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan.

One of my absolute proudest moments was sculpting a Married Ndebele woman for a cake competition. I actually took 2nd place with that piece! It was such an honor to translate the beautiful, vibrant culture of South Africa into edible art.

I’ve been looking back at some of my favorite sculpted creations, and the variety still makes me smile. We’re talking everything from a 3D Big Bird (who was almost too cute to eat!) to a super detailed tribute for a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan.

One of my absolute proudest moments was sculpting a Married Ndebele woman for a cake competition. I actually took 2nd place with that piece! It was such an honor to translate the beautiful, vibrant culture of South Africa into edible art.
