๐Ÿฅš YOLK at Egg London ๐Ÿฅš
Next up on the lineup: Atari & Precious ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿ’ฟ Who is Atari & Precious?
โ†’ Weโ€™re a London-based DJ and producer couple running our own independent label, Remodel Recordings. As a duo, weโ€™ve played sets at Reading Festival, Fabric and Ally Pally, warming up for acts like Sonny Fodera, Dom Dolla and Fred Againโ€ฆ

๐ŸŽ› Favourite house subgenre:
โ†’ We love vocals and melody, so we lean towards uptempo tech and melodic house, but we also mix in deep and bass-driven sounds.

๐Ÿ› How important is Egg to the house music scene?
โ†’ Egg has always been a cornerstone of Londonโ€™s house music scene. Itโ€™s a true rave venue at heart, with a late licence that allows for bigger lineups and more room to explore different sounds.

โœจ How was 2025 for you?
โ†’ 2025 was huge. We released some big records, with the standout moment being playing the closing party at Reading Festival.

๐Ÿ”ฅ What kind of set are you bringing to YOLK?
โ†’ Expect a high-energy set packed with fresh twists on tracks you know and love โ€” including live remixes, big moments and non-stop movement from start to finish.

๐Ÿ“ YOLK โ€” Middle Floor at Egg London
๐Ÿ“… 17 April
๐Ÿฅš High energy, live twists, full dancefloor mode

Forest Finds EP2 out on all platforms. Six more of Claireโ€™s elegantly written songs re-produced in widescreen by me. The first EP came out in 2024. Been working on these through the winter & spring, adding strings, glocks, cello, celeste, brass, sax, light drums and percussion to 3D her compositions. The song DNA is vital, by that I mean the chord progressions and piano figures she comes up with, and that suggests what I added in extra instrumentation, with some amazing plugins such as Nils Frahms NOIRE which renders grand piano samples that do sound real because they are. Iโ€™m looking at how to get a limited vinyl pressing of Forest Finds complete for @remodelrecordings by the end of the year. Thereโ€™s a line of very English story-songwriting that runs from Sandy Denny & Kate Bush, right through to contemporary acts like The Unthanks and Last Dinner Party thatโ€™s tempting me away from pure electronic music to a rethink of what producers like me can do. Something like that! Think itโ€™s ideal setting is a train ride through the countryside. For now, promo aside, just pleased we got this collab completed for nowโ€ฆlink in bio Spotify.

At the end of January we said goodbye to our mother Dawn. I wanted a sombre burial service at the cemetery, which we had, after a careful planningโ€ฆ.my brother Matthew and I leading the procession down to a chosen place in the cemetery, we even helped her to rest wearing black gloves. I remember hearing young children in a playground not a 100 metres away, but many decades away from where our mum now rests. There were flowers and tears, and a reassuring number of friends, both hers and ours. But I wanted the church service to be at St.Lukes, the place my mother had been going to since we were children and so it was.I curated an exhibition of photos, โ€œDawn through the Decadesโ€, a detailed Order of Service, her watercolour artworks on a screen, a selection of books of hers, given away with specially designed โ€œDawnโ€ bookmarks, โ€œAmazing Graceโ€ was sung for her, I made a speech, my brother a eulogy, Gemma read a poem written by a neighbour about Dawn when she was two. I also acknowledged friends of our mum, some present, some also passed away. We remembered our mum, but also the person she was outside of being just our mum, a window dresser in Bond st in her early life, a flower arranger, pianist, gardener, book lover, watercolour artist, animal lover, and friend to so many. Like a wedding, it flashed by, these photos are all we have. My brother wanted to play his song โ€œAftermathโ€ with his band mates, Matt, and Hope on piano. You can hear the original song above. The refrain runs โ€œtheyโ€™ve left the building nowโ€ฆโ€. It felt appropriateโ€ฆ we gave her a beautiful send off in the place she attended for decades, and Michael the priest acknowledged this, for he also knew her well. It was as much closure as we could have asked for in this temporary illusion we call life, and itโ€™s left me wanting more of the illusion. There are roses where she now lies, and the booklets and bookmarks to remind us. โ€œThese former things are passed awayโ€ Revelation. โ€œโ€ฆ. Another life begins todayโ€. Maybe it did, we wonโ€™t ever know. She passed away on Christmas Eve, and so, from now on, for us, it will be a Christmas Dawn. JA ps thanks to @gempreciousdj and @flissib for the tea and sympathy
