Forrest and Ihave produced some pretty cool shots over the years, both at @mthoodmeadows and @mtbachelor and we have a pretty good intuitive feel for how to track em down. Sometimes it comes quick and easy, sometimes you got to work a bit harder.
We had just finished a shoot with the crew when he and i looked uphill at this natural amphitheater, bathed in low angle backlighting, long shadows draped over the sun-kissed roller.
One look at each other and it was on, we have to come back...
We cycled around, discussed the nuances of light and turn and went to work.
I held my breath as he dropped, hoping for the best. He straight aired past the trees, making my heart skip but touched down sweet as you like then ripped into one of his trademark pow carves before floating over the edge of the roller and out.
