BRAIN BATH returns on May 29th for another evening of heady downtempo, blissed-out ambient, and life-affirming audio that doesn’t typically find its way onto Vancouver dance floors. May 29th also happens to coincide with the release of Boards Of Canada’s new LP “Inferno,” so we’ll be headed to Audiopile to grab our copy and will be playing it front to back to start the night. What better way to consume what may be the most important electronic music of the decade than in a chill-out room environment in front of a massive sound system with a handful of like-minded individuals?

Afterwards, the dance will begin with the BRAIN BATH DJs and the city’s headiest vibe practitioner, @dj_2button of the legendary Weirdos inc. crew closing the night out. Uplifting, interesting, and unexpected beverages will also be served all night long with extra care and attention.

@harri_pepper invited me to do an hour mix for his wonderful @rinse.fm show. It aired at the beginning of this month. Harri did the first beautiful hour and I take over in the second hour with a mixed bag of what I was feeling back in December( pre record) . Ended up going for a grab a record / track and play sort of mix cos what I’d tried prepping wasn’t vibing.

With everything happening in the world, I truly find it hard to post on here anymore. From breaches of privacy, global control, ai monitoring and access to your art photos etc, democracy crumbling, war left right and centre and everyone acting insane. We need an app that isn’t this. But alas, I don’t know what the alternatives are currently so I guess I’ll make a post about me playing with some really talented people. Music is all (even though I’ve struggled this year to find inspiration from it - that’s changing). Anyway sorry for the rant, I couldn’t genuinely make a post without moaning a little bit. Excited to play with the homies @succubass@pubu_lubu . Thanks to @dollydisco for trying to make stuff happen in this city that squashes any light of creativity. For that reason it’s important to show up and support! Big up. I’ve certainly lost the energy for it lately. Some little hints of what’s coming next on weirdos in the photos… peace and light
