For Michael @michaelmovie , cinematographer Dion Beebe, ASC, ACS @ddbeebe and chief lighting technician Mike Ambrose @ambrose728 used Unreal Engine to previsualize the lighting design for four career-defining concert tours before a single fixture was rigged on Sony’s Stage 27. The rig — which took six weeks to construct — combined period fixture housings re-lamped with Fuse LEDs, replica stamped-aluminum gel frames, more than 500 tungsten PAR cans, and aluminum salad bowls mounted to mimic period scoop lamps. Chief lighting technician Mike Ambrose and key grip Jim Kwiatkowski built a system of rolling, suspended rigs that could be repositioned overnight to accommodate changeovers between concert eras.
