BLACK ARTIST GRANT REACHES £100K IN FUNDING 💰

Taking a momentary break from a rainy Northumberland dog walk to celebrate our Black Artist Grant reaching over £100k in funding to U.K. based Black creatives. With 143 recipients and multiple Black business and creatives as the grants selectors, BAG is another flag in the ground for us as we fight for a fairer art world and society.

I’ve curated the South African artists for the show and honestly? The lineup is ridiculous in the best possible way. We’re bringing together artists whose work doesn’t just sit pretty on walls, it breathes, provokes, seduces, unsettles and completely rearranges the room around it.

Curating this has been less “administration” and more beautifully controlled instinct. A little chemistry, a little intuition, a little “this artist would absolutely alter the temperature of this exhibition.”
