Supporting BC’s creative industries at 🏠 and around the 🌎 through grants, export support, motion picture tax credits, and the BC Film Commission.

The Music Industry Initiatives program supports initiatives that grow and develop British Columbia’s music ecosystem. Successful projects will build the capacity of B.C.’s music industry through training, collaboration, and creating new industry and business opportunities.
📅Supports activities and expenses between January 1, 2026 and October 31, 2027.
🎵 Open to applications from individuals, collectives, companies, and organizations.
🍁 Applicants may be located anywhere in Canada, but must be active in B.C.'s music industry.
⚠️ Deadline: Rolling until October 30, 2026, or until all funds are allocated.

Sunk City Festival (@sunkcitynanaimo) returns to Nanaimo this May long weekend!

B.C. talent is Cannes-bound! From May 12-20, 2026, British Columbia delegates will attend the Marché du Film at The 79th Cannes Film Festival @marchedufilm.
Nine delegates received support to attend through Creative BC’s Passports to Markets program, championing cinematic excellence, expanding B.C.’s global talent, and celebrating this year’s most compelling films.
📅 On May 15, at the Canada Pavilion, there will be a panel titled “Create With Canada,” featuring Creative BC’s CEO, Prem Gill, as a panelist for the first Info Session. Moderated by @telefilm_canada, the sessions will provide professionals with the opportunity to meet and ask questions to key players from the Canadian audiovisual industry.
