But then moments later I numb out because it’s moved so fast and doesn’t feel real, especially in this state of delirium after a night of no sleep. Thankfully we are totally safe, and so far our building is outside the mandatory evac zone. Regardless, we’re evacuating to get away from the smoke.

Anyway, the encouraging takeaway I get from these kinds of things is that it’s nice seeing how many people go to bat for each other when facing crisis.
