We're excited to welcome Scottish smallpipes phenom Brìghde Chaimbeul to the Maritimes as part of her Canadian summer tour. Chaimbeul rose to prominence as a prodigy of traditional music, but has since taken smallpipes into uncharted territory. A fearless artist continuing the living traditions of old music in profound new ways. Her journey includes two shows on mainland Nova Scotia, two stops on Unama’ki Cape Breton to celebrate Lùnasa and a finale in the marshes of New Brunswick for Sappyfest.

Lotus writes songs that sound like they are from times of old and his inimitable style has been talked about in the folk music world for years. He plays music in the key of Folk, Blues and Ragtime. Audiences are captivated by Wight’s seamless movement from banjo to jaw-harp to guitar and the contrabass harmoniphoneum. Wight has played all over the globe including festivals in The Shetland Islands, Turkey, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
The Good Time Gals is an old-time Appalachian stringband with influences from the rich folk, country, and bluegrass scene in Montreal. They play a combination of old songs, raging fiddle tunes, and original compositions. The group features Linnea Jimison on fiddle, Dara Weiss on guitar, Kaitlyn Urquhart on banjo, and Lina Halimi on upright bass.
