The Applied Comics project is a key project in the spring semester of the @graphicstorytelling programme. In this project, third-year students use comics to strengthen external clients’ communication.
Signe, Asger, Sasha and Cecylia worked with @seashepherd on their project:
“It was a great experience to work with a client on their vision for their organization. They gave us a lot of freedom, and we were able to create illustrations that appeal to emotions in ways that photos and text alone cannot.”
Additional project partners included Københavns Universitet, Ungdomsbevægelsen FLOR, Skagen Fuglestation, De Frivilliges Hus Viborg, and the Center for Animation, Visualization and Digital Storytelling.

Your film is finished — now you want it out into the world and onto film festival screens 🏆
But… how do you actually do that?
Film festivals are one of the most important pathways for your short film to reach an audience — and for you to build a stronger network in the industry. But which festivals should you aim for? And how do you get your film selected?
This spring, the film workshops across Denmark are offering a new workshop series on festival distribution that will help you navigate exactly that.
In the workshop, you’ll learn:
🔶 How film festivals select films
🔶 How to develop a strategy for your festival distribution
🔶 How to understand and navigate festival rules and premiere requirements
🔶 How to present your short film in the best possible way
In short: How to bring yourself and your finished short film out to audiences and the film industry in Denmark and the rest of the world. And the one in Viborg will, of course, be focused on animation, hosted by Filmværksted Viborg and @fondenarsenalet
Scroll through to read about the speakers at our session, and mark you calendars for May 19. 📆
Sign up for the workshop and read more on our website 🧡
💸 New funding pool for festival distribution – TBA
On June 1, the film workshops are also launching a new funding pool where you can apply for up to DKK 3,000 to cover festival fees.
The pool will be launched on the mothership, Filmværksted Danmark, so keep a close eye on the site 🛸

Do tricks to power up your speed and wack your opponents to grab the Megacell in this local four-player game."
