You Don’t Need Money To Go Viral 👀📱

Andre Herd breaks down the modern digital landscape for independent artists and why building a real fanbase today isn’t about budget.

It’s about strategy. Consistency. And knowing how to move online.

The problem? No one’s really teaching artists how to do it organically.

That’s what this is.

Real insight. Real game.

Let me tell you about my dad.. he passed away 2 months ago to the day on January 28th. Born in 1940, his name was Dale. He spent his life writing novels & short stories, surfing, and raising his 3 sons. His perspective was like no other. He saw the beauty and the absurdity in everything. He loved life. He loved the mundane. He was a simple man. He was content. He showed up. He was present. He was brilliant. He was kind. He was grounded. He was charming. And most importantly, he had the biggest heart.

He loved Bob Dylan and Ernest Hemingway. He always had a book in his hand and a song in his head. And was always mine and my families biggest champion.

He fought till the end and even in his last moments, he was teaching me. Thank you dad for showing me what a good life lived is and what being a great father looks like. Theron, Tommy and I won the lottery to have you as our dad.

Dad I love you. We miss you. And I certainly hope there’s good surf up there 🤍

2025 was a year of extreme uncertainty for me. I quit my job at the end of 2024 without any real plans + I didn’t have a permanent home. I knew it was going to be a year of constant leaning into extreme discomfort and uncertainty..

And because of it I learned some life changing lessons: I learned that true magic lies in the uncertainty. I learned that fear is a signal of truth. I learned that without risk & putting yourself out there, there is no winning and no impact. I learned action is the solution to most problems, even if the action is uncertain. I learned (as I have before) that saying yes to adventure always brings big growth. I learned that the best thing a human can do is be their most authentic self and live in their truth. I learned that home is wherever your people are. I learned that creation is the most important extension of self. I learned that selflessness beats selfishness but you first have to be selfish in order to be selfless. And finally, that you can always choose joy & curiosity over fear.

All in all 2025 was the best and biggest year of my life. Filled with the most challenge & the most adventure (Italy, London, the Amazon in Brazil, Banff, many NY trips, and more).

Who knows what 2026 holds, but I’ll be bringing all these lessons with me and I can’t wait for more 🌅✨

One of the great adventures of my life. Spent 2 weeks in the heart of the Amazon in Brazil. Seeing into the lungs of our planet, meeting indigenous chiefs & villages, learning about our environment and the current trajectory we’re on, dancing more than I ever have, meeting and spending a week with a 100 brilliant change makers, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

My biggest takeaway is feeling like its more important than it ever has been to rid of the mentality of “taking over” and move into a “take care” mentality. If we take care of our planet, our people, and of our selves, then we can slowly fix a lot of the problems of our time. A mentality of reciprocity was talked about a lot from the Chiefs as their hope for humanity. I’ll do my best to play my part.

Thank you to the #wowitsnow @dybrkr @insiderexpeditions fam for putting together once in a lifetime excursions to the edges of the earth. @love.radha @eliclarkdavis @mycaptaincarl @made_of_star_stuff_

Today I turn 33. Some vulnerability for you, I never thought I’d make it to 30. Which, when I did, blew my mind. Today as a 33 year old, I feel so grateful to be healthy, to spend my life around human beings I adore, to spend my time on work that excites me and to get to see the world from time to time. And immensely grateful for my family. My wish is for you to sit into some gratitude and tell someone you love you love them today. Here are some memories from this past year that bring me joy ♥️

Is there anything more powerful than when a song hits you at your core?

In my experience, there are few - I’m always chasing that in my life. Trying to put songs into the world that hit you or throwing parties to achieve that feeling. My drive in life centers around that emotional connection. It makes us more human when we feel it - connects us back to ourselves x
