Art Basel appoints Wassan Al-Khudhairi as Artistic Director for the 2027 edition of Art Basel Qatar.
The Iraqi curator and former Founding Director of Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will lead the fair’s next chapter under the curatorial theme between / بين - a framework exploring the “in-between” as a space for connection, fluidity, and exchange.
Returning to Doha from January 28–30, 2027, Art Basel Qatar continues to position itself as a major platform connecting the MENASA region with the global art world.
