🏆 We’re officially EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year SOPAC winners!
Eight years ago, our friend brought @ryan.ryc and I - just two scrappy, wide-eyed founders trying to figure this whole entrepreneurship stuff out - as guests to the coveted @ey_us show. We were surrounded by leaders in different industries and saw what we could aim for.
Last week, we accepted one of the biggest honors of our journey at that very same show.
Entrepreneurship is a never-ending climb but moments like this remind us how far we’ve come… and how much further we’re ready to go.
Next stop: Nationals 🇺🇸
Huge thanks to all of our supporters and @jasonalin for the nomination and for always having our back.

I can’t believe it’s finally up.
The first of two murals on the Āto buildings honoring Ellison Onizuka - the first Asian American astronaut in space - is officially done. It’s the largest mural in Little Tokyo at 2500sqft and the first thing you see as you enter Little Tokyo from the historic 1st Street North. It’s also one of the toughest pieces I’ve created.
This wall has been years in the making. From speaking with community members, navigating through Covid, to working with the Ellison Onizuka foundation, each piece of this mural was iterated countless times to get it to what it ultimately became. Homages to the 1970s “Fight for Little Tokyo” at the Sun Building, the grapefruit trees, and the iconic sites hopefully serve as a welcome to people entering Little Tokyo and the deeper history this place holds. And for those who live here, the mural is hopefully a reminder for all of us to dream bigger like Ellison Onizuka did.
I’m so honored to have worked alongside an A+ team again with @afrenchpirate @pauljunoart, bearing through the rigorous days nearly 100ft off the ground, especially knowing that I try to cram all my mural work on weekends and off-hours to not interfere with Neuro 😅. It’s something that would have been impossible without them.
Also @jayakang took the most beautiful shots on the day we finished and I can’t be more grateful to her for making us look like the beautiful, paint splattered boy band we are.

I can’t believe it’s finally up.

In 2020, @neurogum went on @sharktankabc and got rejected.
No deal. Just a lot of lessons.
Six years later, we came back and made Shark Tank history.
The first company to not get a deal the first time… and return to land a deal with the Shark we always wanted: @daniellubetzky 🦈
Proof that sometimes “no” just means not yet.

We love you, Kona.
In just eight years, you gave us so much. You made your parents @sallyoshi and @chrisdwong so deeply happy in a way that lasts forever, and you were the very best brother to Hilo.
You will always be home with us. We love you.

As a lifelong artist, designing a @f1 helmet is surreal in itself.
But designing one for our @neurogum partner @yukitsunoda0511 to be worn at my hometown Las Vegas Grand Prix, feels like a full-circle moment. Inspired by the Japanese concept of kintsugi, Yuki’s path through the world’s most unforgiving motorsport reflects his honesty, resilience, and sense of humor that makes him so easy to cheer for.
It’s just like building @neurogum and embracing the challenges, learning from every crack, and coming back stronger each time.
On top of that, Yuki’s special edition helmet will be auctioned after the race, with all proceeds donated to @wingsforlife Spinal Cord Research Foundation.
Given my co-founder @ryan.ryc and his own journey of rebuilding himself after a life-changing spinal cord injury, the theme of kintsugi runs deep for all of us.

$100M+ in sales.
One product. One obsession: focus.
The story of @kentaro of @neurogum is now live. 🧠🎧
What an epic time diving with the sharks and @padiaware crew to close out our San Diego mural.
Over one-third of all shark species are now threatened with extinction, making them the second most vulnerable group of animals on the planet. Seeing these creatures up-close was an incredible experience.
Want to see the mural IRL? Head to 📍2274 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA

Really excited to join the team at Neuro! A unique and innovative product that fits easily into my daily routine and helps me perform at my best

In partnership with my favorite people at @padiaware @bluerobotics and @beautifyearth, @neurogum painted this massive ~2500sqft community-driven mural in celebration of Earth Day. In the last year, we at @neurogum have raised over $250,000 for ocean conservation with proceeds from every tin purchase supporting positive ocean change.
This mural represents our commitment to ocean conservation, rallying conservation efforts, and inspiring both divers and non-divers to join the global movement to protect the ocean’s most misunderstood species 🦈
Sharks are not villains; they are vital. In fact, over one-third of all shark species are now threatened with extinction, making them the second most vulnerable group of animals on the planet.
