This is the unreleased and original version of #2Pac’s “BURY ME A G.” 🤲
Before “Bury Me A G” ended up on the “Thug Life: Volume 1” album, it was a solo 2Pac track scheduled for release on his solo album.
In and around 1993/1994 2Pac planned to release his third studio album. He originally planned to call the album “R U Still Down?” Before he moved onto the working titled “Stay True” and the lesser known working title “Crucified (Me vs. The World).”
These projects were repeatedly reshaped, revised, and renamed during a chaotic period in his career, eventually splitting into his group album “Thug Life: Volume 1” and his iconic, introspective solo album “Me Against the World.”
Through this process, “Bury Me A G” was changed to include the verses from Thug Life, which is the version we all know from the “Thug Life: Volume 1” retail release.
How’s this version sounding? Do you think this track should get an official release?

#Drake just made history 😤
@champagnepapi is the first artist EVER to debut three albums in the top 3 spots simultaneously.
“ICEMAN” is set to debut at number 1 on the Billboard album chart with 460,000 units sold
“HABIBTI” will debut at number 2 with 114,000 units sold
“MAID OF HONOR” follows up at number 3 with 109,000 units sold
No other artist in history has achieved this 🍾
This also means that Drake now overtakes JAŸ-Z with more number 1 albums.

55 years ago today, Marvin Gaye dropped “What’s Going On” - a soul masterpiece that didn’t just soundtrack its era, it helped shape the conscience of Hip Hop.
On May 21 1971, Gaye gave the world a concept album that fearlessly tackled war, poverty, racism, police brutality, environmental destruction, and spiritual longing - all wrapped in lush, orchestral grooves and raw emotional honesty. It was revolutionary for Motown and Black music at large, proving artists could be both commercially unstoppable and unflinchingly political.
Its DNA runs deep through Hip Hop. From Geto Boys flipping the title track on “Six Feet Deep,” to Mos Def, The Game sampling “Inner City Blues,” and countless others drawing from its pain, hope, and groove.
Marvin’s questions became the foundation for conscious rap, storytelling, and socially aware lyricism. Hip Hop wouldn’t sound or feel the same without this album’s blueprint.
Timeless, relevant, and the question “What’s Going On?” is just as relevant now as it was back in 1971.
Is this one of the greatest albums of all time? And what’s your favorite joint off this masterpiece?
Rest in power, Marvin.

29 years ago today, JAŸ-Z dropped “WHO YOU WIT” 👀
Produced by @skibeatz, it featured on the “Sprung (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture) soundtrack”… that ‘97 comedy that had all the summer cookout energy 👀
This was peak mid-90s Jay: clever bars, smooth yet hard-hitting, bridging the underground to the mainstream. One of those records that still sounds fresh when it hits the aux.
Shoutout to everyone still riding with Hov after all these years.
Is this one of Hov’s foulest joints from Hov?
