Had a fantastic day at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. For the first time in a long while, a piece of art truly moved me—and I couldn’t explain why. It hit me deeply. I even felt the urge to physically “embrace” it, which of course is impossible with something conceptual like this. Strange, but beautiful.

Having big fun with the @tiptopaudiofficial 248t MARF,@ridesinthestorm SED-CSM and @fraptools Brenso.

Two melody lanes sharing the same voltage source from the 248t. Triggers on every stage, with time controlling velocity. AFG1 starts one step earlier than AFG2, creating intertwined melodies with a coherent relationship.

Some extra bass from Peaks and the Machinedrum.

This is why I think the @tiptopaudiofficial 248t MARF (and the original Buchla version as well) is a fantastic, hands-on two-channel performance sequencer…

Using the Time voltage output to shape velocity on the fly, scaling the incoming clock with time multipliers, and being able to change a melody in real time — this thing is a performance powerhouse.

Here I’m using very simple 7- and 8-step sequences. Sequence length, triggers, voltages — everything can be changed while the sequence is running. Which makes exploring it even more fun and exciting.

Is the SED-CSM the Intellijel Atlantis killer? I would think so. Packing 2 vco’s, 2 lfo’s (tunable), two (loopable) adsr’s and a creamy low pass filter,this module is a sound making powerhouse. It has a ton of routine options and inputs/outputs and this thing is build like a tank! I truely never had a module in my hands that felt so insanely well build.

Paired with the HFD high pass filter module, all filter options are open.

This video is straight out of the box, no manuals were read. Says something, right.

Don’t sleep on this fantastic module!
