For decades, DJ Said of Fatsouls Records has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to music through his dynamic events, distinctive productions, and deeply rooted DJ craft. Known for blending a soulful East Coast sensibility with African percussion-driven deep house, he has carved out a unique space within the global underground scene.

Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Said’s musical journey began through exposure to his sibling’s eclectic record collection and a close connection to Fela Kuti’s community. His sound is shaped by Afrobeat, Highlife, Jazz, Juju, and the broader spectrum of global rhythms, all deeply connected to his Yoruba heritage and early musical influences.

In 1984, he moved to England, where he immersed himself in the vibrant London club scene, gaining both experience and perspective. After relocating to the United States in 1988, he continued to refine his sound while maintaining a strong presence in both San Francisco and New York’s underground music circles.

Said has shared lineups with influential artists such as François K, Joe Claussell, Danny Krivit, Tony Allen, Ron Trent, Kerri Chandler, King Britt, Kenny Carpenter, Dennis Ferrer, Jerome Sydenham, and Miguel Migs, among many others.

And in support, two figures of long standing:
Brian Lyons, whose hands have shaped this city’s floors for decades.
Pezzner returns to carry the chamber into afterhours.

The stage is laid with intention and worked in degrees by our master of craft: controlled, deliberate, exacting. The floor is drawn in, held, and slowly brought to temperature. By afterhours, the chamber stands fully heated -euphoric, unguarded and ruled by instinct.

DJ, Festival Organizer and Dirtybird Award Winning Song Producer, JonPaul is putting Hawaii on the dance music map, as co-founder of Barefoot DJs, and thanks to his paradise parties, hard-hitting DJ sets and original releases.

Ariel von Sprosen has deep roots in Seattle’s underground dance music community. She rocked our July 4th BBQ Rooftop Party last year, and we’re stoked to have her back for her Diggin Deep debut!

TAIT MODERN
Tait is a positive force who’s woven into the fabric of Seattle’s underground music community. A builder of creative alliances, beautiful spaces and tough beats, Tait’s evolution as an artist flows with the story of the growth of the burgeoning dance music metropolis.

As a key player in Uniting Souls, Tait’s current house sound represents a hard, edgy sound true to his punk rock and drum & bass roots. In the early days with the crew, he helped bridge the house-heavy roster with the city’s finest drum & bass talent, and with his drive to create more avenues for the music that moved him, ignited other nights around the city.
