Storytelling has always been central to Jack Langford’s creative practice, and through film, he’s found a powerful way to explore identity, history and connection. ✨
In the story written by Jane Llewellyn on our website, Jack reflects on how the inaugural First Nations Award helped bring his documentary Beyond Borders closer to life, supporting the post-production of a project centred around First Nations voices, Indigenous archaeology and truth-telling.
Applications for the 2026 Helpmann Academy First Nations Award are currently open, with $5,000 available to support eligible First Nations emerging creatives in developing new work, mentorships, research, professional development and more.
