This is a little self indulgent and very personal but it's been a long old time for me and Arsenal...from apartheid to Budapest, from Swindon to Soweto and somehow ending up here, in Hungary for the Champions League final tonight, with my Arsenal-crazy son, Jack. Thanks Sol Campbell for our interview about Arsenal finally winning the Premier League again, Saturday's Champions League final against PSG, scoring in the CL final against Barcelona 20 years ago, just months after his psychological collapse, VAR and disallowed World Cup goals, Spike Lee and Luis Figo and why only Jurriën Timber and William Saliba make his combined XI with the Invincibles.

And thanks to Mironko Productions for the pic used in The Guardian

Fight Like a Girl is a raw and moving new feature film about a women's boxing team in Congo. It's based on a true story about Clarck Ntambwe and her inspirational trainer Kibomango.

Thanks to the great South African actress @amaqamata, Clarck and the director Matthew Leutwyler for our interviews....and to Matt for the pics used in The Guardian.

You can find a link to the feature in my bio.

I really liked interviewing @zakchelli, a supply teacher by day and a knockout artist by night, after he shocked David Morrell. In Hollywood's take on boxing, Rocky steeled himself for unlikely glory by pounding slabs of meat in a slaughterhouse. Chelli, instead, was teaching in a school near Heathrow.

It was a sometimes disturbing privilege to be ringside last night for Daniel Dubois v Fabio Wardley in Manchester.

Such courage and resolve from both of them in this blood-soaked epic which captured the glory and damage of boxing in equal measure.

Look at Andrew Couldridge's incredible pic above my piece in The Guardian.

Amid a blurring deadline I tried to write about the fight...which can be read in my bio.

Thanks to Andrew, Action Images and Reuters for the pic

I enjoyed interviewing Fabio Wardley about his testing fight against Daniel Dubois this Saturday, the rise of Moses Itauma, Fury-Joshua being years too late, his concerns about doping, his punditry sideline and tattoos.

I liked listening to Joe Johnson relive becoming world snooker champion 40 years ago as a 150-1 outsider. He spoke about growing up as a mixed-race kid in Bradford, overwhelming fame, an invitation from Princess Diana, being in awe of, yes, Cliff Richard and his seven heart attacks. All these years later, Joe is doing well today and grateful for the way his life changed in a flash.

And a big thanks to @sarahmlee47 for the great photo shoot! Always a pleasure to work with Sarah!

I interviewed Gianluigi Buffon. He spoke with intelligence and warmth as he reflected on the fleeting "death" of retirement, winning the 2006 World Cup, Zidane's headbutt, being part of Italy's failure to qualify again for this year's World Cup, depression, scandal and much more...

I interviewed Lando Norris and the world champion was open, honest and articulate. And then his management stepped in to police and muzzle him in an attempt to "control the narrative."

From then on it did not go too well....you can read about what happened by clicking the link in my bio.

I interviewed Nicky Henderson about the extraordinary story of Constitution Hill, the wonder horse who forgot how to jump.Constitution Hill continues his comeback on the flat and, after two stunning races without jumps, the great old boy is flying again...

I interviewed Arslanbek Makhmudov as he looked ahead to fighting Tyson Fury, whom he calls "the professor." He also spoke about Dagestan, moving to Canada, dealing with defeat and why he found it so "terrible" to fight a bear...
