Sometimes the climber doesn’t choose the right path. Sometimes the path required by your height simply doesn’t suit you. And other times, we setters make mistakes, creating situations like this.

But there’s nothing better than seeing an amazing climber like Aitana face it relentlessly and handle the situation with humor and positivity, even though it was an important event for her.

I’d also like to highlight the work of the routesetter, which is far more complex than people often think. Keep creating, failing, and improving every day to all the professionals and aspiring setters out there.

These have been months of change a time in which I reduced my climbing and training hours to zero. Literally, from one hundred to nothing.

But this break has allowed me to focus on other areas of my life that needed attention, energy, and presence.

Today I feel very happy to see progress beyond climbing. Probably one of the happiest moments of the last ten years.

I still feel fortunate to be able to dedicate myself to routesetting in the way that I do. I’m deeply grateful to all the people who supported me during difficult times, and also to those who continue to appear along my path.

Because in the end, every cloud has a silver lining. And more changes are coming… even more positive ones, with more excitement than ever.

Han sido meses de cambios. He pasado de escalar y entrenar a diario a parar completamente. De cien a cero.

Este parón me ha permitido enfocarme en otras áreas de mi vida que necesitaban atención y energía. Hoy me siento muy feliz de ver ese progreso más allá de la escalada; probablemente uno de los momentos más felices de los últimos diez años.

Sigo sintiéndome afortunado por poder dedicarme al routesetting como lo hago. Muy agradecido a quienes me han apoyado en los momentos complicados y a quienes siguen apareciendo en el camino.

Porque al final, no hay mal que por bien no venga. Y vienen más cambios, aún más positivos y con más ilusión que nunca.
