After discovering her Alloy Sea material years back, I was totally game from the get-go when Mor approached me with this versatile material. I love it when artists reveal their full musical spectrum and play with preconceived notions of what their art should look like.

Lastly, running a label for me is also about building personal connections. I’m truly honored to be able to release such a personal record. Sharing the blessings (and annoyances) of being a parent of young kids while doing so makes it even better.

Quite the thing to hold the first record of my brothers work in my hand - I actually don’t care if I sell any other copy haha. But if you do want it too, you can support by buying it in recordstores around the globe, and on my website/bandcamp. If you want a more personal handover, I also sell the record at the topo2 events in @murmur.ams tonight and @rushhourstore next week + you see Windu perform as well. 😊

Other than being a very lovely human, Hala honestly is one of the best contemporary DJs in NL. Her sets are tight and playfully mixed and she’s the type of dj that keeps you on your toes with her selection going a lot of places without it being messy.

Compiled from over 250 tracks created between 2017 and 2024, Juxtapose is Windu’s first ever release — a freeform, shapeshifting snapshot of sound.

This release is very dear to me as it is a project I’ve been working on for multiple years together with my brother Windu. There’s nobody in the world who had a bigger musical influence on me than him and I’m so proud his artistic work finally sees the light of day.

Juxtapose entails the spirit of topo2 in its core as it refers to the countless nights and dj-sets we did under that moniker back in the day, genre-hopping like there was no tomorrow. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did getting it together.

A giant round of applause once again for Kees (@greatexpectations.earth) who crafted the artwork from scratch.

Isabel Schröer (@ddolomeaa) at @scapemastering did a fantastic job making such a versatile album sound like one piece.

We are lucky to have dear friends that are good at their job. Pascal Pinkert (@ambassade__) brilliantly mixed all the tracks and Eelco Couvreur wrote a fitting piece of poetry and accompanying words.
