For Fueling the Radical Imagination: The Power of Art, Culture, and Media in These Times

The evening will feature activations, readings, dialogue, and shared moments that explore how storytelling lives beyond the page—and how it shapes community, culture, and possibility in real time.

Books will be available during the event, and guests will have the opportunity to meet contributors from We Are Civic Media during a special book signing!

I am thrilled to share that my essay "Eavesdropping As A Solidarity Tactic" is published in the anthology book "We Are Civic Media", a collection of writing on how we make change through creative and interesting ways of media-making. My essay specifically is a reflection on my time co-hosting the Good Muslim Bad Muslim podcast and how I felt like we did more change in solidarity than any traditional organizing tactic.

If you are in Los Angeles, I will be signing copies of "We Are Civic Media" at The LA Times Festival of Books on Saturday April 18, 1:45pm to 2:30pm. I'll be at Booth #093, at the USC Arts Now Tent! It's my first book signing ever at the Festival of Books!
