You might be asking yourself “What is ‘Embodied Creativity’?”. Well, in short it’s the product of our friendship. As a comedic improviser and a dance improviser we have found that the common ground between these two forms is MASSIVE and delightful. We developed Embodied Creativity last summer in partnership with @unscriptedimprov and have been fortunate enough to host many sessions since!
Our workshop is an exploration into play. What happens when we make believe together, letting go of assumptions about what’s “right” or “good”? Yes think recess but for adults! Our workshop guides participants through exercises that help them reconnect with that childlike creative spark and drop into flow state. We like to use different access points in our workshop including movement, narrative, sounding, writing, and drawing to connect to our creativity. We also emphasize collaboration and offer many group activities within each session.
Embodied Creativity is for everyone! Whether you’re a musician, actor, dancer, writer, artist, or a generally curious, creative human you are welcome!
