Surfing is hard as fuck.I grinded the last ten years and set my life up so within seven minutes, I can be from my desk to taking a wave on the head at my beloved isle, of plum.I know I’ll never be a great surfer, but I absolutely don’t give a fuck.

I found a really good community finally at 49 years young with a great bunch of local guys two of whom I bugged the shit out of for some of these clips. (Thank you for putting up with all of my BS @newenglandsurfer 🎥 )

A legend turns 79 today.

Being conservative means conserving. It’s right there in the word. Loving this country, its land, its water, its wildlife, and then choosing not to protect it is the real contradiction.

I was lucky to be raised by men who understood hunting and fishing, who knew you are only borrowing what you stand on. You’re a steward of what you love. The same goes for surfers, snowboarders, anyone who lives for the outdoors. If you love it, you protect it. That’s how the generations before us operated. That’s why we still have what we have. You can’t have it both ways.

It’s the only fight worth having.

Happy 79th, Dad. You’ve spent your life standing up for the places and principles you believe in, and you did it with integrity and backbone. Because of you, Nate, Hunter, and I don’t just talk about responsibility, we live it. Your example is the legacy. We’re proud to carry it forward. Love you.
