live bugs from lakes entrance (wow) came in yesterday, so today we have them steamed with some organic butter and pastis and garlic and a tiny bit of chilli and plenty of parsley AND lemon. in the spirit of the fresher the better, these will once again be available for one night only (tonight/friday) from 5pm. a rare treat indeed, especially in this corner of victoria! don’t delay!

lori is a melbourne-based vocalist, dj and producer - her career spans across live performance, djing, curation, event production, radio and education, all underpinned by a deep instinct for sound and atmosphere.
she’s collaborated with artists such as hiatus kaiyote, baro, silentjay and remi, and has appeared on that huge touching bass comp from a couple of years ago, as well as theo parrish’s sound signature label. you probably also know her from her consistently brilliant shows on skylab radio and nts. moving freely across styles, lori blends soulful melody, rare grooves and left-of-centre selections, consistently digging out the unexpected and threading it into sets that feel rich, warm and aliiiiiive!

hi! i have some very quick news for you! today we got in some fresh tiger prawns from a farmer called clem jones in nsw - it’s a true rarity to get a fresh prawn in such good condition (i took a piccy for u), and farmed prawns in australia are super sustainable, so therefore this situation is Quite Special. for one night only, we are giving them a quick roast with a splash of cream and some zest (which makes the most lovely sauce with all the prawn juices) and finishing with a nice amount of chopped parsley and a nice amount of olive oil and a big wedge of lemon. very nice very limited! bisous see you soon!

may is upon us!! here’s what’s happening! parent n child b2bs, harp duets, our first ever late night live show(!), nu indie darlings, local legends and regional mexican cuisine w soundtracking from friends (link in bio for tickets to that one!). boy oh boy, a big honour to have all this beautiful music coming through the little shop n bar - see you all there xoxoxo

Hey kisswahs hope it’s shining on you today we’ve got a couple of shows to announce and they’re happening quite soon.

🌀Friday may 8 bell city - we are really excited to be playing at Nat’s ‘Big Heart’ album launch @natpavlovic 🎪 @hannieday_is playing too.
🌀Sunday may 10 table records - free afternoon show in store @table.records Castlemaine - kind of a regional ‘you are in my dreams’ launch, think it will be a special one.
