Wanneer Eli (22) haar vader verliest, verliest haar oma Winnie (76) haar zoon. Overweldigd door rouw en gefrustreerd dat zelfs haar beste vriendin niet begrijpt hoe ze zich voelt, stap Eli - ook tot haar eigen verbazing - in een bus; mee met Winnie op een seniorengroepsreis. In de hoop dat ze met haar oma wél haar verdriet kan delen, neemt ze die reisgenoten maar voor lief. Maar hoe rouw je als je 22 bent? En wat moet je als Gen-z’er tussen de Boomers?
