The analog previs for our feature film NO DOGS ALLOWED happened many many months before we finally went on set. It was just director @steveolf and me, the script and some toys from Steve’s childhood home. We wanted to place our characters in relation to each other for different scenes, simply based on the emotional state they were in. And we wanted to play around with potential camera perspectives. That was long before any decision on the cast and before the location scouting had even started. During that process, we figured out a way to capture these ideas with my phone and started to create an actual storyboard. It got even more fun when I decided to set a mood by adding some rough lighting.
And months later, we tried to adapt our ideas to the then fixed locations. It was quite wholesome to see that some of these initial ideas could become reality in the final film.

The analog previs for our feature film NO DOGS ALLOWED happened many many months before we finally went on set. It was just director @steveolf and me, the script and some toys from Steve’s childhood home. We wanted to place our characters in relation to each other for different scenes, simply based on the emotional state they were in. And we wanted to play around with potential camera perspectives. That was long before any decision on the cast and before the location scouting had even started. During that process, we figured out a way to capture these ideas with my phone and started to create an actual storyboard. It got even more fun when I decided to set a mood by adding some rough lighting.
And months later, we tried to adapt our ideas to the then fixed locations. It was quite wholesome to see that some of these initial ideas could become reality in the final film.
