For this first EP on the label, Ams presents two original tracks: a progressive club and an ambient one, both built using field recordings captured in the Pyrenees.
@remikaval delivers a percussive remix with an atmospheric touch, out on February 6. Coming from the same region, his contribution was a natural choice to mark the beginning of the project, in the place where it all started.

Ce premier EP, Born Out There, s’appuie sur des field recording que j’ai captés dans les Pyrénées, accompagné d’un remix de @remikaval ⛰️

Un projet où je prends le temps d’écouter et laisse les fréquences organiques guider la musique.

Ams lance son nouveau label soft earth.

Pensé comme un espace d’exploration sonore, soft earth se construit autour de textures organiques et de field recordings, capturés au fil de balades et de voyages. Chaque EP agit comme une empreinte : celle d’un moment précis, d’un paysage, transformé en musique à partir des sons du réel.

Pour inaugurer le label, son EP “Born Out There” puise dans les Pyrénées, là où Ams a grandi. Entre house progressive et ambient, le projet traduit un territoire en fréquences, complété par un remix de Kaval, lui aussi originaire de la région.

Une première sortie qui pose les bases d’une démarche sensible, où prendre le temps d’écouter devient un acte de création.

Each release captures a specific place and moment.
Built from sounds recorded in the field, every walk or trip becomes the starting point for music to unfold ~ from soft to deep frequencies. Shaped by taking time, listening and letting places leave their imprint on sound.
