Meet Nerd Epps, software developer turned fashion designer and founder of House of Both Rows, a Detroit-based sustainable fashion house rooted in storytelling, emotional wellness, and intentional design. Through upcycled fashion and wearable art, Nerd transforms secondhand textiles, vintage garments, and discarded materials into pieces that honor memory, resilience, individuality, and self expression.

Blending technical problem solving with creative experimentation, Nerd’s work exists at the intersection of sustainability, fashion, and community care. Every creation feels deeply personal while also imagining a more thoughtful and connected future for fashion.

At the heart of House of Both Rows is the belief that clothing can do more than make a statement. It can hold stories, preserve legacy, and help people feel seen, supported, and empowered.

“I’m moved to create work that means something and lasts beyond me. My work shows that upcycling is not just sustainable, it can be high fashion.”

Through every garment and reimagined textile, Nerd challenges ideas around waste, beauty, and value while creating fashion that is both meaningful and transformative. 🖤✨
